Over the years, we have reviewed, read, and used many books about appraisal and managing an appraisal business. To help appraisers, we have put information on all these books plus direct links for online purchases of the books. 

We have reviews of 15 books, from Senior Housing to Complex Residential. I also have brief descriptions of 12 books I have reviewed but not read. Yes, I do have rating Stars!

Our favorite business books for appraisers
Books we have used when writing articles or in teaching seminars. 

• Marketing books - advertising, defining your niche, promotion, small business marketing, and books specifically for appraisal marketing 
• General business management (including managing yourself!) books - LLCs, corporations, retirement plans, small business management 
• Specific Business topics - Independent contractors, fee splits, collections, etc. plus bookkeeping/accounting, and hiring/firing. 
• Miscellaneous business topics - topics I can't figure out where to put such as depositions and alternate careers for appraisers

Almost all of the books are available for purchase at amazon.com and I have links set up. We get a few bucks (up to 15%) for each sale, but mostly set it up for the convenience of visitors.
