Risk Management/Operations

                             

Ø      Initiated the first introduction of Automated Valuation Technology (AVM’s) in collateral risk management procedures, policies and guidelines to improve productivity, provide better consistency and reduce costs.

Ø      Developed, collected and analyzed market data for regional trend expectations to support underwriting systems for mortgage insurance saving $25 million per year in potential losses.

Ø      Managed condominium project tracking system, which reduced mortgage insurance risk exposure saving over  $5 million per year in potential losses and allowed for market expansion.

Ø      Formulated Affordable Housing Guidelines and initiated market expansion in major cities for mortgage industry leaders to promote fair lending practices which increased mortgage industry awareness.

Ø      Reviewed and analyzed collateral for multi-million dollar bulk transactions and mortgage-backed securities to insure price structure and profitability.

Ø      Created and implemented fraud control system for loss mitigation and asset management, which improved risk exposure by reducing losses.

Ø      Monitored operations in efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with Secondary Market and Federal Banking guidelines.

Ø      Managed appraisal review operations for residential collateral risk nationwide that included both conforming and non-conforming loan types with monthly loan volumes exceeding 7,000 units.

Ø      Developed underwriting collateral review program, which combined education, training, database systems, AVM’s, and an interactive assessment process that improved productivity and loan quality.

Ø      Analyzed and reviewed client policies, procedures and processes for collateral valuation to ensure compliance with secondary market, wall street investors and federal regulatory oversight.

 

 

Business Development

 

Ø      Consulted with mortgage lending institutions in the areas of strategic planning and relationships, applications of new technologies and process reengineering.

Ø      Responsible for the research and development of mortgage automation systems, which integrate credit scoring and collateral assessment models.

Ø      Initiated the introduction of new industry processes for the underwriting of collateral, particularly AVM’s, which included product design and development, education and acceptance, and marketing/sales strategy.

Ø      Integrated with Real Estate Developers, which included land acquisition, feasibility studies, construction planning and processing, entitlements, staff management, operations, and marketing that insured success and exceeded profit expectations.

Ø      Initiated and regulated collateral assessment procedures for bulk transactions for mortgage insurance on Residential Jumbo Loans.

Ø      Formulated risk parameters for Manufactured Housing Guidelines, which allowed for new market opportunities.

Ø      Initialized one of the first Affordable Housing Bond Programs, which established criteria and processes for future offerings.

Ø      Performed due diligence for major acquisitions including Servicing and Mortgage Banking operations.

Ø      Strategic planning with local municipalities, and consumer groups to create affordable housing and redevelopment programs which included research and analysis, formulation of procedures, and initiation of operations to meet fair housing goals and objectives.

Ø      Piloted industry acceptance campaign of new business systems to industry leaders nationwide, including secondary market, Wall Street, federal regulators, major institutions and legislators.

Ø      Sales Manager for multiple Real Estate Developments, which included marketing, media integration, sales, staff management and supervision, resulting in over $10 million in sales annually.

Ø      Title Insurance Marketing Representative responsible for Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, and Customer Relations for specified territory.

Ø      Responsible for the development and execution of national sales support campaign for the introduction of new products and services which included training, trade show strategies and customer support procedures.

Ø      Developed artificial intelligence systems, and windows based software for data retrieval for collateral assessment in automated underwriting.

Ø      Formulated computerization of Condominium Project, and REO/ Asset Management systems, which standardized format, improved quality and productivity.

Ø      Created and trained national sales and customer support staff on new product applications for Real Estate Market Trends, Mortgage Automation, and Risk Management.

Ø      Management experience includes supervision of Sales Staff, product development team and risk management group, and staff appraisal group nationwide.

Ø      Developed nationwide underwriting course curriculum, which standardized processes and procedures that improved productivity and consistency.

Ø      Developed nationwide Affordable Housing Awareness program that included course curriculum and neigborhood awareness tours in cites around the country for major lending institutions.
